Fuzzy modeling and optimization of lipase production using Pseudomonas aeruginosa | Author : M.Padmavathi | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The lipase production and its optimum conditions were studied in this paper using Pseudomonas aeruginosa. For this central composite Design (CCD) and Response Surface Methodology (RSM) were used to determine the optimum conditions to obtain maximum energy activity. The five independent variables such as time, temperature, carbon source, nitrogen source and inducer were used. The time and temperature had significant effects on the enzyme activity. The main goal of this study was to apply RSM and GA for optimizing the production of lipase and to model the lipase production using neutral network and neuro fuzzy methods. Modeling for lipase production using neural network and neuro fuzzy methods the accuracy of prediction can be increased and the present study determined which method can predict with more accuracy. |
| The plant wealth of Boudh district of Odisha, India with reference to Ethnobotany | Author : C. R. Sahu, R.K.Nayak , N .K. Dhal | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Ethnobotanical study was carried out in Boudh district of Odisha, India. Fifteen villages dominated by tribal communities under three community development blocks were selected. The indigenous knowledge of local traditional uses was collected through questionnaire and personal interviews during field trips. Indigenous communities of the region are largely dependent on plant resources such as medicines, food, fuel, fodder and for other livelihoods. A total of 20 traditional agricultural crop species, 8 traditional vegetable species and nearly 150 forest species were documented. Conservation of these valuable resources in its natural habitat would be an appropriate approach for ensuring food security of future generations. |
